FDF to host free cyber security event

The Food and Drink Federation (FDF) is set to host its first Cyber Security event on 22 February, with a packed agenda exploring how businesses can protect themselves from cyber-attacks.

Cyber-attacks can affect everything from products through to data, and this event will help businesses develop a robust risk management strategy.

The event will be split into three sessions; The Invisible Threat, Understanding the People Element and The Solution is Out There, with each providing a step-by-step guide as to how you can protect your business from cyber threats.

It will include presentations from leading industry experts and will include a keynote speech from the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC).

Other speakers include representatives from: British Standards Institution (BSI), Siemens, Metaphor IT, Finn Communications, Hanover Comms, and Squire Patton Boggs and CIPROS International .

The event is targeted at Senior Management representatives, IT Managers, Technical Directors and Quality Managers.

Ian Wright CBE, Director General of the Food and Drink Federation, said:

“Our event will showcase the ways in which businesses in the food and drink industry can look to digitally safeguard themselves. We look forward to welcoming both the speakers and participants - this is a prominent issue that affects both our own industry and those throughout our supply chain.”
